Neglecting This Project

I may need to change one of my projects to getting back to this! But there will be some updating to the new house soon. We are almost done with the plans. Actually, we are ready to submit to the VA and if they approve it we will be done. But I'll wait to see if we get VA approval before I cross it off.

I know there are a few that need to be changed too. But I will pick one to start working on again tonight.

Fall 2008 Yard Clean-up

I started working on the yard today. I did the trimming of the bushes in front of the house. They grew like weeds this summer. I still have lots of yard work to do but feels good to get it started.

Before After

I've already accomplished the main objective in brushing Sam and Sheba each week. Sheba is quite old, will be 19 this February! She is generally in good health but has stopped grooming herself. Some of her fur had gotten really matted. I've been brushing her trying to get all those out but it hurts her and she won't let me for very long. But last night I got the last of them out! So she looks all pretty again. Now I'll keep brushing so it won't happen again.

I also started reading The Last Lecture this weekend. My cookbook project continues. I did mail out three of them to friends this week so that got them cut down a little.

I've got to stop making excuses and get to the gym too. If I don't start with an exercise program now I'll never make my 5k goal.

Update

I know it looks like I have not done much, but I am in the process of working on several. I have been working on my cookbooks from the beginning of September. That is taking much longer then I expected. I have A LOT of cookbooks. I'm trying to save the recipes I want out of each and then will donate them or give them to friends.

I was working on my bedroom today too, but don't want to mark that as in progress yet because until I put several full days into it I will not make enough progress. I found a pile of wedding stuff stuck in one corner today! The wedding was a year and a half ago!!

So slowly I'm getting going and making progress.

Day 1, getting started

I'm excited to get started. I've written my letter to myself. It is in an envelope and in the safe. I've also started going through my cookbooks and recipe magazines. I took a before picture but will wait and post it when I'm done with the after ... it really shows why that project needs to get done! I bought my 3D puzzle. It is Cinderella's castle. I am so excited to do it but will probably have to wait for the new house. Since I have no where to do it here out of reach of little paws!

The other big one I'm starting on is The Best Life Diet. I've read Phase 1 and am starting with that now. Mosting working on eating breakfast every morning and getting in all my water for this first week. Phase 1 can take up to one month and rather then trying to do all of it at once I'm going to start with those two and then add one or two more goals from it each week.

I've decided that I will change the colors as I work on items. Red means they are done and green means I've started working on them.
